Commissioner Dennis Stuckey was born and raised in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and attended The Pennsylvania State University earning a bachelor’s of science in business administration and was an honors graduate with high distinction.

In 1979 Dennis moved to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with his family where he currently resides as a resident of Lititz Borough and began the first of what would be a 17 year relationship with Sperry New Holland, Inc.

Currently, Commissioner Stuckey is serving his second term on the Board of Commissioners for Lancaster County as the vice chairman. Prior to being elected Commissioner, Dennis was serving in his second term as the Controller for the County, a position which he was first elected to in 2001.

As a testament to Dennis’ strong passion for agriculture, he currently serves on the County’s Agriculture Preserve Board, the County Commissioner’s Association of Pennsylvania Agriculture Committee where he serves as the chairman, and the Pennsylvania Agriculture Land Preservation Board where he was appointed by Governor Corbett.

Dennis has also served his constituents in local government roles including Warwick School District where he was a member of the Legal and Finance Committee and the Building and Property Committee and the Lititz Borough Council from 1992 to 2001 during which time he served as President from 1994 to 2001.

He is also involved in a number of civic and community organizations including the Lititz Rotary Club, the Penn State Cooperative Extension Board, the Farm and Home Center Board, and the Lancaster County Library System Board.

Dennis and his wife Mary Ann are members of Lititz United Methodist Church and have two children, Jennifer and Paul, and three grandchildren, Madison, Owen, and Alyssa.
