The 2016 poster contest is underway!  All students in Lancaster County, grades K-12, are eligible.  The contest will run through April 30, 2016 and a reception for the student artists will be held in May at the Lancaster Science Factory.  At this reception the winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded.  We look forward to receiving great posters again last year. EAST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP POLICE RECOGNIZED BY NCMEC
2nd in State to become Member of Missing Kids Readiness Project

The East Hempfiled Township Police department became the second in Pennsylvania and 23rd in the State to become a member of the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC)' Missing Kids Readiness Project. This project was developed by NCMEC to promote best practices for responding to calls of missing, abducted and sexually exploited children.  The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners and the Lancaster County CASE Task Force are extremely proud of the efforts put forth by the East Hempfield Police Department to keep our children safe.  Chief Skiles from the East Hempfield Police Department serves on the CASE Task Force.  Please click here for full the story.

Lancaster County CASE Announces New Theme for 2015.
"Don't Just Hear, Listen to What a Child Says."

The Lancaster County CASE Task Force held a press conference on December 10, 2014 to announce its new focus for 2015 including a new brochure and window display. "For our first four years, we focused primarily on teaching children, guardians and the community on ways to keep our children safe," stated Commissioner Martin, Co-Chairman of Lancaster County CASE.  "Although we will continue with those efforts, we are moving our focus to raise more awareness of the harsh reality that children are being sexually abused here in Lancaster County and equipping the community with the right tools to identify and report such incidents."  .....
